There was a [...]]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>FINSENY has participated in the last conference on Smart Grid Standardization Achievements on Brussels, 28<sup>th</sup> January 2013.</p><p>The chairmen of the three mandates M/490, M/441 and M/468 presented the results of the work of their Coordination Groups. Additionally industry stakeholder provided their point of view.</p><p>Mr. Oettinger as commissioner opened the conference. There was a very broad participation, locally as well as on a live stream.</p><p>The work of the Smart Grid Coordination Group (SG-CG) was welcomed and recognized. href="http://ercim-news.ercim.eu/en92">http://ercim-news.ercim.eu/en92</a>).</p><p>The article reports the work done in WP6 about how the market mechanisms are facilitated by Future Internet technologies and how they will help managing energy demand in the smart grid. /> One communicated focus point of the fair was the renewable energy production and smart grids as well as smart cities. <br
/> The impression at the fair was that the focus is far more on a technical point of few. There were mainly companies in the area of recycling, waste water treatment or plant manufacturer for renewable power plants.<br
/> We submitted a paper based on the Vision paper of FINSENY (available here) which was included in the general part of the cd with all information on presentations of the fair.<br
/> FINSENY shared its stand with biogas providers and service companies, so that, the audience were mostly Italian SME´s interested in practical applications and services.<br

/> Consequently participate in the representative panel FI-PPP program sharing presentations and question and answer session with FI-WARE, OUTSMART and Instant Mobility. Martin Wagner presented the FINSENY vision about how Future Internet can enable the Smart Energy.</p><p>The most important conclusion is related to the representation of all type of projects of the FI-PPP: Core Platform and Use Case Projects were present.<br
/> During the question and answer session the panel cleared doubts regarding both the scope and results of the 1st phase as compared to the expectations for the 2nd phase of FI-PPP. It should be noted that the questions were aimed at the SME participation in the upcoming calls, specifically in phase 3.<br
