Hannover Fair in Germany is a very large, worldwide renowned trade show with a significant share of energy- and ICT-related exhibitors. FINSENY was invited by one of the consortium members (DKE/VDE) to share a small project booth with them. The booth was co-located with several smart grid projects, mostly from the highly regarded E-Energy series of project, funded by the German Ministry of Economics. Moreover, FINSENY gave two presentations at the E-Energy Forum, an auditorium where various smart grid projects and related topics where presented throughout the show. The presentations from Kolja Eger (Siemens, Technical Project Leader) and Javier Lucio (Telefonica, WP1 leader) created quite some interest. All consortium members who staffed the booth (this was a combined effort of eight people on five days) had good opportunities to disseminate the purpose and the need of the project. In addition, there was enough time to walk around the show and learn from other projects and exhibitors on the state of the art of smart energy grids and related technologies.
